“IT”

Every day that I am kept injury-free and alive, I ought to be thankful.

Your name is like honey on my lips
Your Spirit like water to my soul
Your word is a lamp unto my feet
Jesus I love you, I love you

I tried, I really really tried…to convince myself that IT was part of the soup, probably an ingredient to make the base tastier. I actually succeeded, considering I like the noodles so much. Yes…UNTIL the cleaning lady came to wipe the table, and asked, “这个能吃吗?”

IT was a small snail. No, in fact, I only saw the shell and blankish stuff in it. Sorry, the lady eventually threw IT away after staring and staring at IT, so no pic. For a brief moment, she got me the attention of other patriots patrons, one of whom kindly suggested that I change my noodles. Erm...I didn't...

This is still my favourite noodles: Vege and meat (argh, doesn’t sound delicious at all after translation. It is yummy ok…where else can I have soooo many yellow beans!)

Forget IT for a while. This 面食部 is my favourite dining place on campus. I come here every other day, just like how mama craved for her dumplings. ;) Most, like 90% of the patriots patrons, come for 山西刀削面 It’s quite a lot like our Mee Hoon Kway back in Singapore. Hmm, not my cup of tea though.

They have about 10 different kinds of soup base + ingredients for the same type of noodles. Whereas in Singapore, we can have mee pok, mee gia, yellow mee, guo tiao etc all with the same type of soup base + ingredients. Hee.

This is 三鲜面. Ham, quail eggs, mushroom…

And for a typical breakfast: Egg and tomato noodles

I still love the noodles here despite IT. Whether or not IT has an impact on me, perhaps I would find out in the next few hours.

Till then, God bless me. ;)
