It's Watson's last day here in China.
After church, we visited 五道口服装市场.

Pss, Julia...this is your heaven!!!
Catering mainly to teens and those in their 20s, this complex is situated at an area populated by Koreans and Japanese. You can get almost everything here! Clothes, shoes, accessories, stationery and food... Hmm, but it can be a stressful shopping experience here cos the lanes are narrow, and people can hardly move (at least for a weekend like today). Watson could hardly wait to get out...I am gonna be back!
Next, we headed to Carrefour. Erm, you know Carrefour...so yupz...
Watson had a hard time looking for pine nuts for his grandmother, so we decided to try the prime shopping district in downtown - 王府井. While shopping in the area, the saying that the Chinese can eat anything...ANYTHING, came to mind.
Meat...

Creppy Crawlies...

Starfish! Can you believe it...

That's Stinky Tofu...that didn't taste as stinky as it smelled.

Then, it's finally Dinner!!! I wanted KFC larrrrr...no more rice and noodles plssss??? But Watson decided to give mama and I a treat at Crystal Jade Palace Restaurant! It was an experience!!!

According to Watson, you have to walk through a long pathway, along fountains, lotus-like structures, and classical chinese furnish, to truly feel like you are in a Palance. Hmm.

The waitress asked for our names, and the service was remarkable. Aha, Watson said the restroom's been the best he has seen in China...(muahaha...he has been to TWO outside of his hotel)
Our yummy dishes! It's been three weeks since I last ate 100% Thai long-grain rice...and it tasted so so different!

We wrapped up our day with a soft ice-cream called Bizzard Storm from Dairy Queen. Delicious...!
And hence ended Watson's China "adventure". Tomorrow morning, he will begin his in-house attachment back in Singapore. Take care!!!
Thank you Watson for setting up the Voip system for me, as well as teaching me the use of proxy servers. Aha...I can view my own blog! =D
gRacE =)
