On MSN today, Julia shared excitedly that seeing Laksa reminded her of me. ;) Kristal then messaged and asked if I missed Hainanese chicken rice and mee pok. MEE POK. Ok, I’m more a fan of Mee Gia. BUT! “Mee pok” brought the image of chilli, bouncy fishballs, and yellow noodles right into mind!
Yummilicious!
Every Friday at History of Chinese Film Culture, we watch films. Knowing from last week’s experience that the lecture hall cannot accommodate all the attendees, mama and I arrived 45mins earlier.
Five minutes past the scheduled time for class to begin, we were puzzled that the lecturer had not arrived, and the hall was barely filled.
Then…
I heard my lecturer’s familiar voice… from somewhere outside, far far away.
ARGH.
To cut the long story short, mama and I did get seats eventually, at the very last row. Mama enjoyed one of the 1970s films so much, she couldn't stop talking about it. =)
Perhaps Uncle Kok Beng's right afterall, mama is here for her Masters. ;)
Dinner @ Italia Restaurant

Our fruit salad. Bananas haven't tasted soooo good...Absence makes the heart grow fonder? ;)

Mama wanted seafood spaghetti, but settled with tuna when they didn’t offer it.

I had a hard time choosing between Mushroom Risotto (Rice, ain’t it?) and Bacon Pasta in Cream Sauce. Pasta usually wins. ;)

gRacE =)
