Just when I decided to venture out with fewer layers of clothes, and without my coat, it snowed again. Unlike the last time, this felt like a tiny snowstorm, with heavy dense snow that affected visibility. But no doubt, snow’s always a beautiful sight to behold for summer pumpkins like me. ;)
Even mama asked for a photo.

40 DOP Session 2
Worship: We Were Planned for God’s Pleasure
During preparation, I couldn’t understand LAH, and it was quite frustrating.
Practically, I shall not wait till Saturday morning to start preparing – so so wrong.
BUT, despite my limitations and rather reluctant soul, God made the impossible possible. Instead of just feeling like I was “outputting”, I received input from the rest, and clearly saw how God used me as an instrument to speak His word.
It was amazing and awesome, knowing that it was not at all by my own strength, but entirely by God’s grace.
Lotsa other insights and lessons, but gotta practise self-censorship here. ;)
One final thanksgiving, even as mama returns to Singapore next week, and we can no longer use her room as a venue, my group has decided on another venue and a new time/date. =)
PKU Guitar Society
Today, I learnt that I have been playing a classical guitar with an acoustic style for quite some time. !!!???!!!?!?!?!?!???…sigh. Mama said that the classical guitar relief teacher looked MoDeRn. I think it's his hair.

According to those in the exco, his fingerstyle is the best in PKU. I was impressed, but nope, I knew deep down this wasn’t what I wanted to learn.
12noon, we returned to the acoustic class taught by a first-year Masters student. This funky chap wore black-rimmed rectangular glasses, sported a curly hair-do, and had a skull-biting-stalk-of-rose pic splashed across his tee. Then, he played Ah Niu’s “对面的女孩看过来".
An hour and a half later, I walked out of the room with two questions:
Should I buy an acoustic guitar?
If I should, what kind?
At night, I attended the Guita Soc's Orientation Party.
Pros after pros played their best pieces, but it was this guy in red who blew me off my feet. (Psst, notice the one on the left?)

He sang Jacky Cheung’s “她来听我的演唱会”. Sweeeeeeee….! There is something about vocals that I always find more afinity to than pure instrument playing. Oh well, pity he forgot the lyrics, again and again, to other songs as well.
The highlight of the evening was a new PKU band, initially called “Spider and Fly”, but now known as Ambulance. They sang songs by Suede and Oasis. Wow. For a brief moment, I forgot I was in China. ;) While the band was preparing for an encore, I left the room, my eardrums ringing…g..g..ggg…gg…..

Today, I learnt that my deepest satisfaction is in Jesus Christ.
gRacE =)
