BICF
Ever since my Intercultural Comm class screened snippets of Bowling for Columbine last sem, I had been hoping to catch the entire film. Well I finally did, and was struck again by how blatant Michael Moore was when he criticised his own nation, the United States. Violence, gun possession, discrimination, fear.
This morning at corporate prayer,we lifted the USA for the first time to God. I was like, WOW. ;)
The sermon was about Two Prayers that Determine Destiny.
In Matthew 6,
“My name, My kingdom, My will” - Personal Fame, Personal Power & Affluences, Self-reliance
versus
“Your Name, Your Kingdom, Your Will” - God's fame, Gód's Kingdom, God relianceWe were challenged to recite the first 3 lines of The Lord’s Prayer every morning in the coming week, and ask God to purify our desires. =)
Lunch
As I was about to dig into my fried rice, Liang Zhou looked hard at me and asked, “What do you think about marriage?” Haha…I said he better be thankful I haven’t gotten a mouthful of rice or he’d be in trouble.
Anyway, it’s just good to hear…whether it’s because of responsibility or for love, Liang Zhou and Jian Kang will both respectively get married very soon. Gonna expect my first "red bombs" from them. Cool! ;)
Folk Lore assignment
Although the deadline has been postponed for another week, I have FINALLY completed my assignment! Wheeeee! Many many thanks to each of my contributors (whether or not they ever read this): Mama, Daddy, Aunty Mary, Lisa, Aruna, Leow, Bro Kai, Julia and Jian Kang. Heart of gratitude! ;)
Absolute Addiction
It’s amazing how I have been playing the sport since primary school, but only managed to truly feeeeeel the power of smacking today! This time round, we didn’t play rounds. Jian Kang and I played two hours straight, with many many 21-point rounds. For the very first time, my right arm hurtsssss, and so do my legs! But it felt sooooo good! If Kai Qin’s up to it too, I’m gonna attend another ping pong class tomorrow morning at eight. Wow wheeee! ;)
Dinner
Finally…the reknown 西门鸡翅... Yummilicious!

Time really flew by today…well, so did the week-long holz. It’s Week 12 in PKU from tomorrow onwards, and my 13th week in Beijing.
gRacE =)
