当你孤单你会想起谁?

The rainy night brought this song to mind…

“......你最害怕每天的天黑
但是天总会黑
人总要离别
谁也不能永远陪谁
而孤单的滋味
谁都要面对
不只是你我会感到疲惫......”

Before Aunty Agnes and Aunty Diana departed for Singapore, they spent a good 2 hours shopping (again!) at PKU’s Mini Mart. Half that time, I was waiting outside their hotel, desperately trying to reach them on their mobiles, not realising that they was no reception at all in the underground mart. =S

Aunty Diana bought me a pretty pair of guitar-shaped earrings for my collection.

I am so glad they had a fruitful trip (definitely in terms of shopping!) =)

Planning the itinerary for the aunties during their stay here has helped with my next 2 visitors. Today, daddy and Aunty Li Hua (together with trusty mama) visited Tiananmen, went INTO (the aunties didn’t!) The Forbidden Palance, and shopped at Wang Fu Jing and The Silk Street. Dad’s Olympus camera doesn’t work with my USB port, so sorrrry…no pics! ;)

While they were visiting the places of attraction, I attended two classes in stuffy hot classrooms. Yes, it IS summer, and we get no fan…let alone air-condition! ARGH!!!

Then I went for self-defence, and it was two full hours of filming! Apparently, the class is a 精品课 (what's that?!), so it's gonna be for some PKU publication.

Lessons in CS did give me exposure, so I wasn’t as annoyed as some of the rest who felt the camera crew was unprofessional and demanding. Yet on the other hand, I wasn’t excited about being filmed at all. The entire lesson today was a revision, but it was all for show and I didn’t learn anything new. =(

Lalalaaaa…but ping-pong always brightens my day! The lighting in the basement where we have always played was faulty, so Jian Kang and I headed to an area near the local student hostels.

Since it was outdoors, we had the wind to deal with. Not only that, the tables couldn’t be made of wood, and proper nets were not fixed (perhaps for fear of being stolen?). Instead, there were stone tables and AMAZING metal nets!

With such nets, not only is 擦网 very rare, just imagine a smack that hits the net. The ball doesn’t just slow down and land on your side of the table, it comes flying back at an atrocious speed! =P

I have to say the entire game was a worthy experience. The vast area forced us to run more when picking up the ball, and that expended more energy than the game itself.

Till the next time… =)
